i1mygadgets.com does not add any sales taxes or hidden charges to orders. You just pay the total price in your order.
However, most countries will have some sort of import tax which the buyer pays when receiving goods. This is not a payment to i1mygadgets.com - it's usually duties or customs charges from your own government.
2. Who pays for import taxes?
As we know, the customs in some countries will charge some import taxes, for different countries have different regulations, so we cannot offer you formal advice about taxes or the amount you may have to pay when importing our goods into your own country.
The actual paperwork and initial payment of charges for customs clearance is handled by the courier, and the recipient of the goods is later charged the total fee when signing for the packages.
Usually these taxes and charges are not very much, but in some countries they could be higher. You'll need to contact your country's customs office or your chosen courier if you would like details of the likely charges in advance.
3. What we can do for you about the import taxes?
We can help you to declare the order at a lower price (even lower than USD$50.00) and declare it as personal gift. But we are not responsible for any held-up or losses caused by declaration.
4. Feed back on tax
After your order arrived, we would be very grateful if you can send us brief feedback about what (if any) import taxes you had to pay in your destination country. It will be very helpful for us to improve our service to keep on helping all the customers minimize the impact of duties and tax charges on orders.
5. Do I have to pay VAT / Sales Tax?
Possible additional costs to you may include:
- Bank transfer charges,
- PayPal money 'upload' (i.e. deposit) charges,
- Any import duties that are levied at customs.
Please note that if you are re-selling (or drop-shipping) goods from i1mygadgets.com it is your responsibility to ensure you are abiding by the tax (and other) regulations for selling goods in your home country and the destination country.
Please note that if you are drop-shipping to end customers it is your responsibility to let them know about any taxes they may have to pay when receiving goods from the courier.
6. How much tax do I need to pay?
i1mygadgets.com will accept no responsibility for customs costs incurring.
Some countries do not charge import duties on private items, samples, and goods below a certain stated value. However, you may find that you have to pay taxes when goods you've ordered from us arrived in your country.
Obviously you will want this to be as low as possible, but i1mygadgets.com can give you advice or information about tax rates 60% of the order amount.
All that we can do is declare the value of the shipped goods at a nominal value (see below), which may still be fully taxable.
Items shipped from i1mygadgets.com will be declared at the lowest nominal market price as a standard assumption.
This lowest market price is based on the manufacturing origin and might not be reflective of how much the item will cost you if bought in your local retail market.
You must ensure you find out about regulations in your own country before ordering from i1mygadgets.com. In most countries the actual origin of the goods (China) is not important: only the declared value of the goods and declared contents is relevant.
Let us know if you have any special packing or labeling instructions when placing your order.
